Fiesta Brava On Francis & Nevada Opens New Restaurant

From L-R Tacos Al Pastor, Tacos Carnitas & Tacos Asada

It took 3 years to get where Roberto Ochoa really wanted to be and it's only about a 100 yards away from his old spot. "We built it step by step and my customers have followed me here," said Ochoa, owner of Fiesta Brava.
Owner Robert Ochoa Built A Loyal Following With His Taco Truck

The good news for his loyal customers is they didn't have to follow him far. Over the past 3 years Ochoa's truck has been parked at the Cheveron gas station on the corner of Francis and Nevada. Over that time he's built up a loyal customer base. "I love coming here. I'm from Michigan and this is the only place I'll come to get Mexican food in town. It's the best," said one customer I ran into as he was heading out the door.

Ochoa is no stranger to the restaurant business. He worked for the Azteca chain of Mexican restaurants in Seattle for 15 years before coming to Spokane to manage and open the Hooters in the Spokane Valley in 2005. Ochoa went to work for Azteca in Spokane before joining forces with Taco Tumbras. 3 years ago he knew it was time to open his own thing. "I wanted something for myself. I know my food is really good and I thought I could make it. I opened the truck first and I've built up a nice group of customers. Opening the restaurant was my next goal," said Ochoa who opened the restaurant version of Fiesta Brava in January of 2014.

Fiesta Brava is filled with flavor of authentic Mexican Food. The menu includes everything from Tacos, Burritos to Quesadillas. The prices are extremely reasonable and you get a great portion of food for the prices. In fact most things on the menu run between $5.00 and $7.00.

"We make everything fresh. Please come in and check us out. If you come say hi to Roberto you get two free tacos," said Ochoa with a smile.

I guarantee they'll be many more tacos from Fiesta Brava in your future.
